Construction Method

Radiation Protection Products' lead lined doors are constructed using a single layer of sheet lead in the center of the door. Wood cores are laminated under hydraulic pressure on each side of the lead.

Custom Options

We will manufacture lead lined doors to your specifications with leaded x-ray glass windows and options as listed. We also supply lead sheet, hollow metal door frames and Balau door frames.

Our products are manufactured in accordance to BS EN and ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System. The rigorous quality checks throughout the entire process from manufacture to despatch make sure our Lead Sheet is free from dross, oxide inclusions, scale, lamination, blisters and cracks.

Usage in Radiation Shielding

Lead sheet is commonly used to shield healthcare workers from radiation. It is installed in Radiology Rooms, Cath Labs, X-Ray & Imaging Rooms, and Dental OPG X-Ray Rooms. Lead Lined Walls, Doors, Frames, Partitions, and Panels create a barrier between the X-Ray machine and the X-Ray technician for protection against radiation.
